About the Project

Black Kettle Energy Storage Project (Black Kettle) is ideally situated in Woodward County, Oklahoma spanning approximately 20 acres. This facility will directly interconnect to Oklahoma Gas & Electric’s (OG&E) Woodward 345 kV substation, a key transmission hub for the region. The project is strategically positioned to provide much-needed capacity and grid services to the OG&E electrical grid and SPP market. By adding energy storage capacity, Black Kettle will enhance grid reliability and stabilize energy supply.
